I'm falling behind
Behind is such a heavy word to carry, and you've been carrying it while still showing up anyway. The pace you're measuring yourself against was never built for a real person with a real life. Falling behind on tasks is not the same as failing at life, even when it feels identical from the inside. For a moment, let the list wait; it has waited before and the world held.
Almost everyone knows the feeling of looking at their own progress and deciding it is not enough. We measure ourselves against an idea of how far we should be, and that idea rarely includes traffic jams, tired mornings, or the days life takes for itself. The truth is that the world's timeline is not your own, and it never was. You are not late. You are simply moving at the pace a real life moves, and that pace has always been enough.
Letting the list wait for a moment is not a surrender. It is a choice to stop measuring yourself against a clock that was never fair to begin with. When you are ready, the things that matter will still be there, and you will meet them with more of yourself because you paused. You are not behind. You are exactly where the road of your own life has brought you, and that is a legitimate place to stand.
Read one, sit with it, and draw as many more as you need.

“Behind whom? The schedule in your head was invented by you, scribbled on a napkin you can crumple. You're allowed to redraw it any time it stops being kind.”
