I feel left out
Watching from the outside while others connect can make you feel like you missed a memo everyone else received. Being left out hurts at any age, and it's not childish to feel the sting of it. Not being included says far more about a circumstance than it ever does about your worth. You belong somewhere, even if this particular room didn't make space for you.
Everyone has been on the outside of something at some point, watching others share jokes and plans that did not include them. That feeling stings, and it is not small or childish. Being left out taps into a very basic human need, the need to belong, and when that need is not met, it genuinely hurts. It is okay to feel that. It does not make you needy. It makes you human.
Not being included in one thing does not say anything true about your worth. Collections of people miss people they should include, all the time, and that is a flaw in the circumstance, not in you. There is a place, and there are people, where you will belong. Maybe you have not found them yet, and maybe they have not found you, but that does not mean they do not exist. You are worth including. You belong somewhere, and you will find it, even if this room was not it.
Read one, sit with it, and draw as many more as you need.

I feel left out
“Being left out stings in a place older than reason, a cold drop in your stomach when the group photo surfaces and you're not in it. The ache is human, not childish, no matter your age.”
